Updates: WCMI, HISHE, and The Blind Side

Ok you guys, do you remember when I told you about the web comic/story called "When Curiosity Met Insanity"? Well it just came back this month! They've got an all new post and they said they're coming up with more now that a huge load of busy-ness is off their shoulders! Yay!!

Anyways, in other news, I'm still pretty busy, and also kinda tired. Getting up at three in the morning for Black Friday shopping may have something to do with it... Oh, by the way, Happy late Thanksgiving!!! Hope your turkey day was awesome!

Let's see... What else can I share...

Oh, How It Should Have Ended is back with new updates too! Latest ones they've ended are Terminator, Transformers 2, and Twilight. Twilight ended awesomely, I might add, even though I've never seen the movie.

Ok, on Thanksgiving, I saw The Blind Side. It's about this kid who grew up in a really bad neighborhood in Tennessee, and how he surpasses everyone's expectations.

What happens is, he's being taken care of by this guy who is trying to get him and this other kid into a fancy private Christian school. Unfortunately, Big Mike has been getting straight D's and his gpa was... I think 0.6 or 0.06. Eventually he gets admitted into the school, but he's still not doing very well, and he has to bring his grades up in order to try out for sports.

One chilly evening, he's walking down the sidewalk to his shelter of the gym, when a family pulls up in their car. The mother gets out and walks up to him, asking if he has a place to stay. Big Mike nods. She tells him not to lie to her and asks the question again. He shakes his head no. She brings him to the car and lets him sleep in her living room.

Soon they go out to get his clothes (because he's not going to leave) and he tells her that he hates the name Big Mike. From there on out, he's Michael.

With her help, and that of a tutor and all his teachers (except his English teacher), Michael brings his grades up enough to play football. At first, he's not all that great, though he shows promise, and S.J., the mom's son, coaches him along.

I'm not going to spoil the end for you, but it is a heartwarming tear-jerker of a movie and I'll definitely see it again sometime.

Til next week,

Except check out this guy's blog! Take a look at his links and stuff, he's on YouTube and he is amazing!

He plays theme songs, classical, newer stuff, and original music, and it's just all around mind-boggling how skilled he is at guitar.

How It Should Have Ended

Hey guys, I was browsing my favorites panel yet again, and I came across HISHE. Haven't gone to that page in awhile, so I went and checked it out to see if they had updated.

How It Should Have Ended is a website that is exactly what the title states, it's suggesting different ways for movies to end. Most of them are funny, some are dorky, and there are a ton of awesome quotes. They're all YouTube clips, by the way, but the links are in the site.

I'm pretty sure LC said her favorite was the Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory one, either that, or Beowulf, and mine's the Superman one, but just about all of them are pretty awesome. You may have to check out their YouTube page to see them all, they changed a few things around and I haven't gotten a chance to really explore the HISHE page again.

HISHE doesn't belong to me, though I did buy one of their T-shirts XD

Gotta go!

"When Curiosity Met Insanity"

Hello to my fellow bloggers,

I spent the entire day being completely and totally uninspired. Yuck. I like to consider myself an artist, so being inspired is like... I don't know. Like waking up to a beautiful morning and you just know for sure everything's going to go well. Being utterly uninspired though is like depression. The feeling of ucky-ness just won't go away, despite not knowing quite what's wrong. ...I was actually asked more than once today if I'm depressed.

Anyways, as per usual, life goes on.

I was browsing my favorites tab and came across one titled "WCMI" ...I had forgotten what it stood for, so I decided to check it out. Turns out that it's a story a fan-fic writer and comic artist had put together for Alice and Reginald (The Mad Hatter), and it is so epically funny it got me out of my slump. Not even Lolcats could do that for me, and here I was, laughing at Reg's insane pick-up lines and Alice's insults. It's pretty awesome how much fun it is to read an insult. Especially one using Victorian style English that still manages to make sense.

Anyways, here's the link: http://community.livejournal.com/curiousinsane and check it out if you could use a good laugh. Sadly they left off awhile back on kinda a cliff-hanger... but the artist, Bri-Chan, has a DeviantART gallery with more stuff if you're interested.

Oh, and again, to make myself abundantly clear, WCMI and the characters don't belong to me.

Til later,

-Kj
