Updates: WCMI, HISHE, and The Blind Side

Ok you guys, do you remember when I told you about the web comic/story called "When Curiosity Met Insanity"? Well it just came back this month! They've got an all new post and they said they're coming up with more now that a huge load of busy-ness is off their shoulders! Yay!!

Anyways, in other news, I'm still pretty busy, and also kinda tired. Getting up at three in the morning for Black Friday shopping may have something to do with it... Oh, by the way, Happy late Thanksgiving!!! Hope your turkey day was awesome!

Let's see... What else can I share...

Oh, How It Should Have Ended is back with new updates too! Latest ones they've ended are Terminator, Transformers 2, and Twilight. Twilight ended awesomely, I might add, even though I've never seen the movie.

Ok, on Thanksgiving, I saw The Blind Side. It's about this kid who grew up in a really bad neighborhood in Tennessee, and how he surpasses everyone's expectations.

What happens is, he's being taken care of by this guy who is trying to get him and this other kid into a fancy private Christian school. Unfortunately, Big Mike has been getting straight D's and his gpa was... I think 0.6 or 0.06. Eventually he gets admitted into the school, but he's still not doing very well, and he has to bring his grades up in order to try out for sports.

One chilly evening, he's walking down the sidewalk to his shelter of the gym, when a family pulls up in their car. The mother gets out and walks up to him, asking if he has a place to stay. Big Mike nods. She tells him not to lie to her and asks the question again. He shakes his head no. She brings him to the car and lets him sleep in her living room.

Soon they go out to get his clothes (because he's not going to leave) and he tells her that he hates the name Big Mike. From there on out, he's Michael.

With her help, and that of a tutor and all his teachers (except his English teacher), Michael brings his grades up enough to play football. At first, he's not all that great, though he shows promise, and S.J., the mom's son, coaches him along.

I'm not going to spoil the end for you, but it is a heartwarming tear-jerker of a movie and I'll definitely see it again sometime.

Til next week,

Star Wars

Hey guys,

Ya gotta see this dude!

His name's Corey Vidal and he goes by ApprenticeA in YouTube.

Just look up ApprenticeA, click on his page, check out his top vids, and look for one titled "Star Wars (John Williams Is The Man)" The thumbnail is of a four-way split screen.

I'd have given you the link myself, but it's not working.

"Nobody cares if you upset a droid,
That's because droids don't tear
Your arms out of sockets..."

That's not the full lyrics, but it's pretty true, tis easier to let the Wookie win. XD

*Sigh*

Ok, so the daily thing isn't working out so well. I'm not giving up on you guys though, I adamantly refuse to stop writing. ...I love it too much. I just don't usually have the time... Instead of becoming like my friends who write maybe once a year though, I'm just going to find out what day I'm least busy and write then. Right now, it's the weekends, so I'll probably be writing once a week. But I'm writing it on my calendar so I don't forget!!
In the meantime though, I thought I'd let you know what's going on.

The Phantom of the Opera
... I promised I'd write about the book, movie, and give a clip somehow of a friend of mine and I acting out part of it.
Problems: Even though I read the book and saw the movie, my friend hasn't visited in awhile. I haven't forgotten about it, but you probably won't get to hear about it (and our fascinating musical stylings) until summertime. I'm sorry, but when we last tried, we got costumes on and everything, but then a tragedy had to be averted and then we had to take care of other stuff, so that's why you didn't hear us four months ago. Also, we have yet to find a Phantom mask to fit me.

In other news: I just finished another book and saw G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra last night, so I'm eager to share that with you guys as well as what I told you about in my previous entry. I can't right now because I'm in the middle of cleaning up a huge mess, but it'll be taken care of.

Until later,

It's.... ALIVE!!! ...again.

Hey guys,

Sorry for the major lag time between posts, turns out I'm really bad at trying to make weekly habits. Like blog posting. So... In spite of my hectic schedule, I'm going to try to write daily again.

Let's see...

A short list of movies I've seen recently includes... Gremlins, Ice Age 3, 17 Again, and Bob the Butler.

Books I've read... Twilight, New Moon, Star Wars: Heir to the Empire, The Hunger Games, Catching Fire, and Watership Down. Still can't say I'm a fan of Stephenie Meyer's work, though.

Music... Well, let's just say that I never really run out of music.

Interesting sites... I've found a couple of those too.

So yep, that's what you can expect coming up soon. In the meantime, just rest assured knowing that I haven't forgotten about you and am coming back.

Til Tomorrow!

"Over It"

Hey guys,

I'm sorry for not posting much recently, I've just been really swamped. I made some decisions and unfortunately my blog got stuck on the back burner. That's not cool, so I'm going to try my best to get at least one post a week to you while I'm still busy. ...But I'll probably be busy like this... for the rest of my life. So um... I'll post when I can, and if I can't, please know that I'm at least doing something worthwhile, not wasting my life on MMORPG's or anything.

I need music. I know it's out of sequence, but I really need music.

This song... Describes how I'm feeling right now almost to a T. I haven't quite gotten to the point where I ask someone to just take me away for awhile, but I'm really close. And it starts all over again tomorrow bright and early. Ugh. Ever wanted to throw your alarm clock out the window but knew that if you did, that's just your $25 down the drain?

By the way, it's another music video but for a Disney movie, so you don't have to watch it lol just listen. And this one doesn't belong to me either. I seem to see a pattern developing... Do you see it too?

"Alive Again"

Hey guys!

I've heard this song... a LOT lately. Mostly on the radio, and you can tell there are a few differences between the refined song they play on the radio and the unedited song he's playing here... but that's good. I'll give links to both for you to listen to. The first one is footage of him playing at a radio station, it's unedited, it's just him and his guitar, no drummer, no bass, just him. Second one is the one you'll probably hear on a CD.
Again, neither belong to me, but when I hear them, I get a shiver up my spine and I can't help but sing, and I love it. Otherwise I probably wouldn't be telling you about it.

"Alive Again" by Matt Maher

Unedited Footage

Fan video with music from the CD

Anyway, the second one is a fan video and sometimes they get deleted, so let me know if it disappears.

Lemme know what you think!!

Personally I love them both, I think I'll see if my guitar teacher can teach me this one.

NCIS

The season began again!! WOO! XD

***********MAJOR SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!!!***********

ZIVA'S BACK!!!!

YAY!!

Dang that cliffhanger they left us with at the end of last season sucked! I mean, everything's going semi-ok, sure, Ziva's hanging out in Israel with her dad, so that's kinda sad for Tony... But next thing you know, she's strapped to a chair all beaten up and tortured and stuff! And this terrorist asks her to tell him everything she knows about NCIS.

End of season.

WHAT?!

I am so glad they got Ziva back!! Half of the summer I was convinced she's dead, and the other half I was convinced that she'd find her way out, I mean, she's *Ziva*. She has to! But she doesn't. Exactly how she makes it back, I'll leave for you to find out if you haven't already.

I postponed this post a day so the spoiler wouldn't be too hard on anybody who isn't in my time zone.

Anyways, if you've never heard of NCIS, now is an excellent time to look it up! I mean, they're starting a new season and everything's cool again.

NCIS stands for Naval Criminal Investigative Service. Think CSI, but specializing in crimes relating to naval officers.

I'll list the characters by rank, and once I lose track of rank, they'll be in no particular order.

Leon is the director of NCIS. Kinda mysterious sometimes, I couldn't stand him at the beginning of the last season. -Or maybe the season before- Mostly because he split up the entire team for no apparent reason (he clarified later, after putting them back together, mostly redeeming himself.)

Next you've got Leroy Jethro Gibbs. He goes by Gibbs, though some people can get away with calling him Jethro. He's an ex-gunnery sergeant from the Navy and an insanely good sniper. He doesn't say much, but if he's got a gut instinct, 9 times out of 10, it's accurate and you better listen. He's the boss of the team we all know and love. He has to answer to Leon, but Leon takes Gibbs' opinions seriously.

After him, is Anthony DiNozzo, goes by Tony or DiNozzo. He's a major movie buff, and he knows the ins and outs of NCIS almost as well as Gibbs. Also he's a ladies man and appears to have a thing for Ziva. ...Even though that means breaking a rule or two since they work in the same office.

Next up is Timothy McGee, I'm putting him above Ziva because he's been there longer. Now McGee is the technical whiz, and when he and Abby team up, they can figure things out lickety split. He's basically the geek of the squad, and has been given a huge list of nicknames by Tony ranging from Probie to McGeek. And for a geek, by the way, he's pretty cool. Especially the way he handled himself in this most recent episode.

Up next is Abby Sciuto. Now Abby is not just your normal average forensic scientist. She's a genius forensic scientist while being "the happiest goth you'll ever meet." She tried not being goth once... didn't work out very well. She's incredibly affectionate, and loves her Caf-Pow! (Think... and this is my best guess here... Highly caffeinated cherry Icee.) Also she sleeps in a coffin.

I've forgotten Ducky's real name for the moment, but he's the man who finds out how the dead guy died. Basically his job involves poking around a body's insides to find out what exactly went wrong. Sometimes it's easy, like a bullet wound, but other times he has to find out what sort of deadly poison was going through the body's veins and whether or not he himself is gonna croak for breathing that air. Oh! He's Doctor Donald Mallard.

His assistant is James Palmer, who is a medical student I believe, and enjoys shoes.

And last but not least is Ziva David. Pronounced Zeevah Dah-veed. She is an officer originating from Israel and has made her way here. Highly trusted by Gibbs for killing her own half brother who was going to shoot him, she ranks up there with DiNozzo and McGee, she's just newer. She knows a variety of hand to hand fighting techniques, and can be fierce at times, but that's not the only thing about her. She's also clever, may have gotten over her anger towards DiNozzo (considering recent circumstances), and tries to use American phrases but keeps getting them mixed up.

Example:
Ziva: "Well, you know what they say, you cannot make an omelet without breaking a few legs."
Tony: "She's never making me breakfast."
McGee: "Uh, Ziva, it's 'without breaking a few eggs.'" Overall, she's a fun character too, and I am majorly happy that she's back!!

Those are the main characters, and I can't really tell you the plot, since it's a TV series and the plot usually changes a bit from season to season, and well, this season is just getting started!

Anyways, check it out, and enjoy!

Oh, and um... There are some scenes with Ducky that aren't exactly appropriate for kids... So I rate it PG-13, unless you make the kids cover their eyes for a couple minutes.

Later!!
