Hey guys,
I've been thinking lately about New Year's resolutions.
Usually I have lots of problems keeping them... Average issues like procrastination, lack of being psyched, forgetfulness, that sort of thing. I mean, who really gets super excited about the usual boring New Year's resolution stuff like, say, cleaning out the garage or losing a few pounds? ...Yay?
Anyways, I'm thinking up a new one, namely a new blog to be updated daily because the subject will be something I am indeed, psyched about. ...Not that I'm not happy with this one, I just feel I need to research further into the new subject. I'll still keep up with the weekly update on this blog, I'll just write daily in my other one. Which means two posts a day sometimes. Maybe even three, should I ever get inspired again with my first blog.
What's the new subject, you may ask? Well I'd be surprised if you don't already have a general idea. It's pretty much going to be researching the Bible in a fun way. Thinking about how it relates to now. Everything from Genesis to Revelations will be explored and elaborated on and applied to the modern day. I'll add stuff like music and movies and books that relate to it, and I might just get a good friend of mine to help out. (Or at least I hope I can, he's at least as busy as me all the time, if not more so.) But yeah, I'm really psyched about this! I already tried something kinda like this with another friend of mine, and we had a good time, even though it was more like a study group rather than a blog post.
Anyways, if you like the sound of that, check out the new blog when it comes up. If it isn't interesting, you don't have to look if you don't want to, I'll still update this one regularly.
A song having to do with January 1st, New Year's, and a true want to change is "Dead Man (Carry Me)" by Jars of Clay. Just so you know, the link is to another fan video, so I can't promise that it'll be there forever. Sheesh, sometimes even the artist's video channels get messed up, like with Natasha Bedingfield's that I listed earlier. By the way, neither the video nor the song belong to me.
In the spirit of New Year's, though, what's your resolution? Post it in the comments box, please!
Catcha later!

Bloody Jack
Hey bloggers, blog-readers, and web-surfers,
This afternoon I finished a very interesting tale by the name of...
Bloody Jack: Being an Account of the Curious Adventures of Mary "Jacky" Faber, Ship's Boy
Anyways, it's all about this girl named Mary whose family died of the pox or the plague or some such awful disease, so she's living on the streets with her gang. We're in London in the late 1700's, and the life of a girl on the street isn't the best.
Among her friends is the leader of the gang, Charlie. He has dreams of going out to sea and seeing what there is to see. One day, after begging for pennies, Mary goes out looking for Charlie and finds him dead. She then resolves to carry out his dream of going out to sea. There's only one problem; she's a girl.
She took Charlie's clothes though, and she has yet to hit puberty, and she cut her hair, so she doesn't much look like a girl, but that doesn't change facts. She made her way down to the docks and got herself a spot as a Ship's Boy on the HMS Dolphin. The first few problems made their way quickly, among them being she soon gained a fancy for another of the Ship's Boys, a man named Sloat seems to know what she is, ...Or does he? And the men all share a bathroom and she can't be seen sitting down every time she has to use it.
Some other problems wait awhile to surface... Things like finally hitting puberty and growing in all the wrong places to look like a boy, her mates starting to distrust her, and finally telling Jaimy- excuse me, showing Jaimy she's a girl, only to have to hide his sudden interest in her from everyone else. ...It's kinda hard to kiss your new boyfriend unnoticed when you're on a ship with a huge crew and several good friends and no one can know you're a girl.
Overall, it was an excellent story. Jacky was very, very believable. So were the rest of the characters, actually, but since it's told from Jacky's point of view, you can see just how real she is. She's a real person, for a moment. She has real fears, real moments of bravery, real sneakiness, real soft-heartedness, and a real ability to cuss out her buds when they tease her. (Though she only describes how she swears at them, you hardly ever see it happen.) And throughout the book you can see not only how she grows by her own description, but how she matures by her language. Towards the beginning, she had a thick accent, not at all ladylike, while as you get closer to the end, little by little, her speech becomes more sophisticated. That's probably one of my favorite parts, actually being able to physically see the main character grow by her language changing.
I read a lot of books, and usually I can see right through them. The main character has no faults, or there are continuity gaps, or the use of language is way off, or something, but not this one. This one was superb, I'll not be forgetting it anytime soon.
I gotta rate it at least PG-13 though, not for younger readers. Older teens will probably enjoy it.
Til next time!

The Changeling and NCIS: Los Angeles
Today I saw The Changeling.
Angelina Jolie starred in a true story set in the 20's and 30's about a woman who went to work and came back to find that her son had disappeared. She called the police to find that they wouldn't send anyone out until the next day. When a policeman does come, they begin the search. This is in March.
In August, she learns that her son is on a train, heading home. Naturally, she is ecstatic. When she gets there though, she finds that the boy getting off the train was not actually her son. She tries to tell the police chief multiple times that the boy is not her son, but every time, the chief tells her that he is, in fact, her boy, and she just needs to get used to the fact that even though the dental records aren't the same and his teacher doesn't recognize him, and he is three inches shorter than the boy that left, he is her son.
Angelina did a fantastic job, and it was believable from start to finish. She wasn't Angelina Jolie in this picture, she was Christine Collins. No thoughts of her previous films entered my head.
On the downside however, the movie is rated R for a reason, and children should definitely be in a different room, watching something more appropriate.
On another note, did you guys see the episode of NCIS: Los Angeles, where Abby came to LA? I'm not going to spoil it for you if you had it on TiVo or whatever, but it was insane! She did however, finally meet Eric!

Updates: WCMI, HISHE, and The Blind Side
Ok you guys, do you remember when I told you about the web comic/story called "When Curiosity Met Insanity"? Well it just came back this month! They've got an all new post and they said they're coming up with more now that a huge load of busy-ness is off their shoulders! Yay!!
Anyways, in other news, I'm still pretty busy, and also kinda tired. Getting up at three in the morning for Black Friday shopping may have something to do with it... Oh, by the way, Happy late Thanksgiving!!! Hope your turkey day was awesome!
Let's see... What else can I share...
Oh, How It Should Have Ended is back with new updates too! Latest ones they've ended are Terminator, Transformers 2, and Twilight. Twilight ended awesomely, I might add, even though I've never seen the movie.
Ok, on Thanksgiving, I saw The Blind Side. It's about this kid who grew up in a really bad neighborhood in Tennessee, and how he surpasses everyone's expectations.
What happens is, he's being taken care of by this guy who is trying to get him and this other kid into a fancy private Christian school. Unfortunately, Big Mike has been getting straight D's and his gpa was... I think 0.6 or 0.06. Eventually he gets admitted into the school, but he's still not doing very well, and he has to bring his grades up in order to try out for sports.
One chilly evening, he's walking down the sidewalk to his shelter of the gym, when a family pulls up in their car. The mother gets out and walks up to him, asking if he has a place to stay. Big Mike nods. She tells him not to lie to her and asks the question again. He shakes his head no. She brings him to the car and lets him sleep in her living room.
Soon they go out to get his clothes (because he's not going to leave) and he tells her that he hates the name Big Mike. From there on out, he's Michael.
With her help, and that of a tutor and all his teachers (except his English teacher), Michael brings his grades up enough to play football. At first, he's not all that great, though he shows promise, and S.J., the mom's son, coaches him along.
I'm not going to spoil the end for you, but it is a heartwarming tear-jerker of a movie and I'll definitely see it again sometime.

Star Wars
Hey guys,
Ya gotta see this dude!
His name's Corey Vidal and he goes by ApprenticeA in YouTube.
Just look up ApprenticeA, click on his page, check out his top vids, and look for one titled "Star Wars (John Williams Is The Man)" The thumbnail is of a four-way split screen.
I'd have given you the link myself, but it's not working.

*Sigh*
Ok, so the daily thing isn't working out so well. I'm not giving up on you guys though, I adamantly refuse to stop writing. ...I love it too much. I just don't usually have the time... Instead of becoming like my friends who write maybe once a year though, I'm just going to find out what day I'm least busy and write then. Right now, it's the weekends, so I'll probably be writing once a week. But I'm writing it on my calendar so I don't forget!!
In the meantime though, I thought I'd let you know what's going on.
The Phantom of the Opera... I promised I'd write about the book, movie, and give a clip somehow of a friend of mine and I acting out part of it.
Problems: Even though I read the book and saw the movie, my friend hasn't visited in awhile. I haven't forgotten about it, but you probably won't get to hear about it (and our fascinating musical stylings) until summertime. I'm sorry, but when we last tried, we got costumes on and everything, but then a tragedy had to be averted and then we had to take care of other stuff, so that's why you didn't hear us four months ago. Also, we have yet to find a Phantom mask to fit me.
In other news: I just finished another book and saw G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra last night, so I'm eager to share that with you guys as well as what I told you about in my previous entry. I can't right now because I'm in the middle of cleaning up a huge mess, but it'll be taken care of.
Until later,

It's.... ALIVE!!! ...again.
Hey guys,
Sorry for the major lag time between posts, turns out I'm really bad at trying to make weekly habits. Like blog posting. So... In spite of my hectic schedule, I'm going to try to write daily again.
Let's see...
A short list of movies I've seen recently includes... Gremlins, Ice Age 3, 17 Again, and Bob the Butler.
Books I've read... Twilight, New Moon, Star Wars: Heir to the Empire, The Hunger Games, Catching Fire, and Watership Down. Still can't say I'm a fan of Stephenie Meyer's work, though.
Music... Well, let's just say that I never really run out of music.
Interesting sites... I've found a couple of those too.
So yep, that's what you can expect coming up soon. In the meantime, just rest assured knowing that I haven't forgotten about you and am coming back.
Til Tomorrow!

"Over It"
Hey guys,
I'm sorry for not posting much recently, I've just been really swamped. I made some decisions and unfortunately my blog got stuck on the back burner. That's not cool, so I'm going to try my best to get at least one post a week to you while I'm still busy. ...But I'll probably be busy like this... for the rest of my life. So um... I'll post when I can, and if I can't, please know that I'm at least doing something worthwhile, not wasting my life on MMORPG's or anything.
I need music. I know it's out of sequence, but I really need music.
This song... Describes how I'm feeling right now almost to a T. I haven't quite gotten to the point where I ask someone to just take me away for awhile, but I'm really close. And it starts all over again tomorrow bright and early. Ugh. Ever wanted to throw your alarm clock out the window but knew that if you did, that's just your $25 down the drain?
By the way, it's another music video but for a Disney movie, so you don't have to watch it lol just listen. And this one doesn't belong to me either. I seem to see a pattern developing... Do you see it too?

"Alive Again"
Hey guys!
I've heard this song... a LOT lately. Mostly on the radio, and you can tell there are a few differences between the refined song they play on the radio and the unedited song he's playing here... but that's good. I'll give links to both for you to listen to. The first one is footage of him playing at a radio station, it's unedited, it's just him and his guitar, no drummer, no bass, just him. Second one is the one you'll probably hear on a CD.
Again, neither belong to me, but when I hear them, I get a shiver up my spine and I can't help but sing, and I love it. Otherwise I probably wouldn't be telling you about it.
"Alive Again" by Matt Maher
Unedited Footage
Fan video with music from the CD
Anyway, the second one is a fan video and sometimes they get deleted, so let me know if it disappears.
Lemme know what you think!!
Personally I love them both, I think I'll see if my guitar teacher can teach me this one.

NCIS
The season began again!! WOO! XD
***********MAJOR SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!!!***********
ZIVA'S BACK!!!!
YAY!!
Dang that cliffhanger they left us with at the end of last season sucked! I mean, everything's going semi-ok, sure, Ziva's hanging out in Israel with her dad, so that's kinda sad for Tony... But next thing you know, she's strapped to a chair all beaten up and tortured and stuff! And this terrorist asks her to tell him everything she knows about NCIS.
End of season.
WHAT?!
I am so glad they got Ziva back!! Half of the summer I was convinced she's dead, and the other half I was convinced that she'd find her way out, I mean, she's *Ziva*. She has to! But she doesn't. Exactly how she makes it back, I'll leave for you to find out if you haven't already.
I postponed this post a day so the spoiler wouldn't be too hard on anybody who isn't in my time zone.
Anyways, if you've never heard of NCIS, now is an excellent time to look it up! I mean, they're starting a new season and everything's cool again.
NCIS stands for Naval Criminal Investigative Service. Think CSI, but specializing in crimes relating to naval officers.
I'll list the characters by rank, and once I lose track of rank, they'll be in no particular order.
Leon is the director of NCIS. Kinda mysterious sometimes, I couldn't stand him at the beginning of the last season. -Or maybe the season before- Mostly because he split up the entire team for no apparent reason (he clarified later, after putting them back together, mostly redeeming himself.)
Next you've got Leroy Jethro Gibbs. He goes by Gibbs, though some people can get away with calling him Jethro. He's an ex-gunnery sergeant from the Navy and an insanely good sniper. He doesn't say much, but if he's got a gut instinct, 9 times out of 10, it's accurate and you better listen. He's the boss of the team we all know and love. He has to answer to Leon, but Leon takes Gibbs' opinions seriously.
After him, is Anthony DiNozzo, goes by Tony or DiNozzo. He's a major movie buff, and he knows the ins and outs of NCIS almost as well as Gibbs. Also he's a ladies man and appears to have a thing for Ziva. ...Even though that means breaking a rule or two since they work in the same office.
Next up is Timothy McGee, I'm putting him above Ziva because he's been there longer. Now McGee is the technical whiz, and when he and Abby team up, they can figure things out lickety split. He's basically the geek of the squad, and has been given a huge list of nicknames by Tony ranging from Probie to McGeek. And for a geek, by the way, he's pretty cool. Especially the way he handled himself in this most recent episode.
Up next is Abby Sciuto. Now Abby is not just your normal average forensic scientist. She's a genius forensic scientist while being "the happiest goth you'll ever meet." She tried not being goth once... didn't work out very well. She's incredibly affectionate, and loves her Caf-Pow! (Think... and this is my best guess here... Highly caffeinated cherry Icee.) Also she sleeps in a coffin.
I've forgotten Ducky's real name for the moment, but he's the man who finds out how the dead guy died. Basically his job involves poking around a body's insides to find out what exactly went wrong. Sometimes it's easy, like a bullet wound, but other times he has to find out what sort of deadly poison was going through the body's veins and whether or not he himself is gonna croak for breathing that air. Oh! He's Doctor Donald Mallard.
His assistant is James Palmer, who is a medical student I believe, and enjoys shoes.
And last but not least is Ziva David. Pronounced Zeevah Dah-veed. She is an officer originating from Israel and has made her way here. Highly trusted by Gibbs for killing her own half brother who was going to shoot him, she ranks up there with DiNozzo and McGee, she's just newer. She knows a variety of hand to hand fighting techniques, and can be fierce at times, but that's not the only thing about her. She's also clever, may have gotten over her anger towards DiNozzo (considering recent circumstances), and tries to use American phrases but keeps getting them mixed up.
Example:
Ziva: "Well, you know what they say, you cannot make an omelet without breaking a few legs."
Tony: "She's never making me breakfast."
McGee: "Uh, Ziva, it's 'without breaking a few eggs.'" Overall, she's a fun character too, and I am majorly happy that she's back!!
Those are the main characters, and I can't really tell you the plot, since it's a TV series and the plot usually changes a bit from season to season, and well, this season is just getting started!
Anyways, check it out, and enjoy!
Oh, and um... There are some scenes with Ducky that aren't exactly appropriate for kids... So I rate it PG-13, unless you make the kids cover their eyes for a couple minutes.
Later!!

Later!!

The African Queen
Let's see... Oh right! I said I'd tell you guys about The African Queen!
Ok, it's an older color movie made in the... 50's, I'd guess... Give or take a decade.
Set in World War I, you find yourself in a missionary's church in Africa. The missionary and his sister are playing hymns for the Africans to sing to when you hear a whistle blow and see the steam coming. Friend or foe is unknown just yet, but when a white fellow hops off the steamboat, and comes up to the church, you can tell he's a friend, just by the way he acts.
He tells the missionary and his sister about the war that's going on (they had no idea), and they invite him to tea where he can tell them more. He left soon thereafter.
Shortly after his departure, several soldiers marched into town where they burnt the tribe members' huts -and the church- to the ground and herd all the natives elsewhere. The missionary and his sister can do nothing but watch, powerless against the soldiers' guns.
The next scene, you can see that the missionary has become delirious and dies in his bed. The same day, the man from the steamboat comes by to check in on them and sees the wreckage. He buries the missionary and offers to take his sister down the river. She agrees and away they go.
Along the way they encounter crocodiles, more enemy soldiers, part malfunctions, a broken propeller, leaches, rapids, waterfalls, and the Nazi's own steam boat, complete with a gallows.
Now if you can look past the fact that it doesn't have the latest computer graphics, it doesn't have any hot guys or girls in it, and it doesn't have any rated R scenes, you'll find that it's a really good movie about survival, boating, and just how much you depend on the person you're with when you're out in the middle of nowhere. (Buddy System!)

New Found Land
Hello to my lovely and most patient readers!
Thanks for sticking around with me while I made adjustments. I probably saved up several Word pages worth of space, just by switching most of the lyric posts with YouTube links.
Anyway, I promised I'd tell you about a few books, so here's New Found Land
New Found Land is a story of the Lewis and Clark expedition -otherwise known as the Corps of Discovery- told from many different viewpoints, and none of them have the same voice; a real triumph on the author's part. It is told in a variety of different methods, using poetry, prose, letters, and the occasional ordinary pageful of text that we're used to in our usual books.
Among the points of view are the obvious Captains Meriweather Lewis and William Clark, as well as Sacagawea, York (Clark's slave), two brothers; Reuben and Joseph, two half-Indians (no relation), Seaman (Lewis's dog), a teenager named George Shannon (who lied about his age), and a few others.
I especially enjoyed the entries by Reuben and Joseph, and Shannon. Reuben and Joseph because they were clumped together within the same entry most of the time (nearly everyone else got their own), and you could practically hear them fighting, arguing, and making up, just like I'm sure real brothers do (I don't have any brothers, but my sisters and I are the same way lol). And Shannon because he... Well, he talks a lot. Those three were really funny sometimes, and just had a way of lightening up an occasionally dense moment.
What I really like about this book is that all the characters are real. Not just real as in, they existed, but the author wrote out a story about our history, our heritage, something that most kids might cringe at, in an incredibly fascinating way. It's mostly historically accurate, but it's not told in the extra dense way the average history book is. The characters are alive. They're relatable. They do smart stuff and they do stupid stuff. They fall in love. They get annoyed. They threaten to kill anyone who steals their stuff again, even if it starts a full-out war with an Indian nation. They're real.
This story, New Found Land, I highly recommend to anyone who's ever taken an interest in Lewis and Clark, as well as anyone who hasn't, but simply enjoys a good, well-written book.
However, it is a little bit graphic at times, so I'd recommend it mostly to people over 12 or 13, depending on what they're used to.
Til tomorrow!

Another Update:
Hey, still making some adjustments... Fixing links up and stuff.
Lemme know what you think once I'm done, but until then, there's probably not gonna be anything new. ...Which kinda sucks since I finished reading New Found Land, The Hunger Games, and Betsy and the Emperor, and saw The African Queen last night. Also I have a really good song comin' up soon.

Update
Hey guys!
I decided to do go in a different direction with this blog... The full song lyrics are taking up way to much space, and if I want anyone new to it to check it out, who knows? Maybe their attention span is too short to look through all my posts! ...Well, I've got 50+, I don't blame them if they do.
Anywho, I'm gonna be making changes to most of my music posts to save space. Also I'll be adding the occasional little random thing that I find interesting... They probably won't have anything to do with my title, but I'm just trying to keep things interesting.
The changes might not be shown immediately, it could take a day or two; but it'll be ready before too long!
Well, I'm off to fix stuff!
Later Gators!

Sorry, but I'm keeping this post short.
I'm finishing New Found Land as we speak, and will be posting what I think of it as soon as possible.
Probably some time tomorrow, actually.

Never forget, ok?
Now, I know there's probably a lot of you out there who were way too young to remember any of it... But I remember exactly what I was doing that day.
I woke up early, at about 4 in the morning. I had slept in the living room so I'd be able to hear my family moving around, getting ready. All my stuff was already ready. My clothes were folded on the end of the couch, and my life jacket and lunch box were on top. I got up, scrambled into my clothes, put my hair in a pony tail, and scarfed down my breakfast. I had never been fishing before, so I was excited.
I got in the car with my family and turned on the defrost button. The leather was cold on my back, despite wearing a t-shirt, two sweaters, and a jacket. When the windshield was finally clear enough to see through, we backed the car out onto the street and set off. The drive was a long one, I don't remember how long, but it took awhile.
When we finally got to the docks, I stepped out of the car and took a minute to enjoy the air. There's a certain smell that fishing water has... I don't know how to describe it, but I love it. We went down to my uncle's boat and he steered us into a good fishing spot. It was so dark though, dawn hadn't yet come, that I couldn't tell how we were supposed to know if there was a fish on the line. ...I'd find out soon enough.
We put the bait on our hooks and cast the lines. We were using glow in the dark lures, but they were soon just barely visible in the water. And, we, like every other fishermen before us (and there were a lot on the water that day), waited. And waited. And we waited some more.
The sun rose, and my uncle thought he felt something at the end of his line, so he reeled it in using a technique gained from years of experience. There wasn't anything on the end of the line, the tricky fish ate his bait and the lure. So he cast it again, and we all waited some more.
It was starting to get hot out now, it was about noon, so I pulled off my jacket and sweatshirts, leaving the t-shirt on under my life jacket. We set up the poles in these hook type things so if a fish got hungry, we wouldn't lose the poles. Then we had our lunch; sandwiches.
More time went by, and finally a fish was caught. Followed by another. One snagged on my line, and I attempted my uncle's technique, everything was going good, I got it above the water, it was flopping like crazy, my uncle got the net out, and the fish jiggled off.
If nothing else, at least I got a laugh out of that one, it's not every day I get splattered in the face by a wet fish tail!
We fished for a few more hours before my uncle steered the boat back to the dock.
We left the boat, I remembered my extra shirts, and we got back in the car. On the way home, I turned the radio on to hear that there was a state of national emergency, two planes crashed into the twin towers.
I wasn't sure what to make of that, after all, could something *that* bad possibly happen on such a good day? But after watching the news that evening, I knew that yes, something absolutely terrible can happen on an otherwise perfect day.
So what I'm saying here is... Please don't forget. No, it wasn't a good day in our history, but it happened. So fly the flag, show some pride in that we made it through. Remember those who didn't make it, and rejoice for those who did.

Hey guys!
Haven't got a whole lot to say today...
Except check out this guy's blog! Take a look at his links and stuff, he's on YouTube and he is amazing!

He plays theme songs, classical, newer stuff, and original music, and it's just all around mind-boggling how skilled he is at guitar.

"So Long Self"
Hey guys!
I got another song for you. Again, I'm sorry for the lack of variety, but at least I got something for you instead of being absent for a month... again... XD
Music doesn't belong to me. Tis the sole property of the musician. Not me.

Again, the music isn't mine. It belongs to MercyMe. Nor is the music video mine, that belongs to MercyMe and whoever produced it. But you still gotta check it out lol.
Oh, and I'm almost done with my book, gimme maybe two more days (or one completely devoted to reading) and I'll have something new for you, and I'm thinking I'm gonna watch movie number two in the Librarian series. I already saw number one (where he first got the job and had to find a really important spear) and three (where he fell in love with a vampiress), but not number two. They're pretty good movies, way better than the other stuff I've been watching this summer. Think... Modern day Indiana Jones, except you multiply the booksmartness by several times and subtract the whip and hat. I'll give a better description when I see number two.

"Unwritten" and "Pocketful of Sunshine"
Ok, how many of you guys are like me and can hardly wait for school to officially start (or if it has, you're lovin' it)? That smell of new books, new pencils and paper, a fresh binder filled with all the things you need? Maybe some new gizmos for a tech class? Gosh, I love it. The anticipation is insane! I've got everything I need and I can hardly wait for it to start for real, but I gotta relax... slow down. Yeah, you can probably call me a geek... I won't mind lol but there's just something about new materials, new books, a new school year... I love it. I know, I know, gimme a few months and I'll probably be over it, but for now... just for now, it's good.
I've always loved new books, pencils, pens, and paper anyway... Comes from aspiring to be a writer, I think.
And... I still haven't finished this book (cut me some slack, it's almost 500 pages long!), nor have I seen any good movies (seriously slacking off in that department... I'll see about checking out what we've got at the video store sometime soon.) So once again, some music.
The music belongs to Natasha Bedingfield. Hint: I am not Natasha Bedingfield. Therefore, it does not belong to me. Gotta love logic...
Edit: It has come to my attention that neither of these songs can be found at the designated links any longer. As a result, I'll try to find new links, but if I can't, this post may be deleted.

Now personally, I have no idea how butterflies can replace tears... but I suppose they make people happy, so maybe it works... Anywho, once again, both songs belong to Natasha Bedingfield, not myself.
Just felt like posting them both because they're feel-good songs, and, well, I'm feelin' good!
Once again, comment if you like or dislike stuff, wanna suggest something, or just feel like saying hi!

"More Beautiful You"
Hey, still no new movies, and I'm sorry about that...
But this is another one for you girls out there, but maybe some of you guys, ones with sisters, wives, or daughters, can enjoy it too.
The music is not mine. The lyrics aren't mine. The voice is not mine. Which means... The whole thing belongs to Jonny Diaz!

"Starting Over"
No movies... I'm in the middle of a really awesome book, but I can't post it yet... More music? Hmm... I could add more music...
Hope you guys don't mind the slight repetitiveness of my recent schedule... but the fact of the matter is, none of the movies I've seen lately are really worth telling you guys about, and I read so many books this summer they're all kinda a blur. So music is my stand-by.
The likelihood of this music belonging to me is roughly the same amount as the likelihood of someone getting me to listen to the Jonas Brothers... It ain't gonna happen.
As always, this song doesn't belong to me.
I don't know about you guys, but this song really makes me think about what my original inspiration was when I started writing this blog.
Was it fans? Was it to share my favorite stuff with my friends? Was it just a way to blow time? Was it an excuse to write out and discover a lot of music, books, and movies? Was it an attempt to teach myself to quit procrastinating? Maybe it was all of the above?
I gotta go, but I'll be thinking on that overnight.
Til tomorrow!

Look at your face,
Doesn't shine the way it used to.
Look at your eyes,
They don't sparkle anymore.
Look what you've done,
You ruined it for everyone.
Who told you that you had to lose your innocence?
I,
I'm starting over,
I,
I'm starting over.
Tell me how
I get back to my childhood.
I used to think
It was so naive,
I was so naive...
Look what I've done,
I ruined it for everyone,
I should've held on harder to my innocence.
I,
I'm starting over,
I,
I'm starting over.
It's never too late,
It's never too late,
For starting over.
Reclaim your innocence,
Start over.
Reclaim your innocence,
Reclaim your innocence,
Start over,
Start over.
I,
I'm starting over,
I,
I'm starting over.
It's never too late,
It's never too late,
For starting over.
Look at your face,
Doesn't shine the way it used to.
Look at your face,
Doesn't shine the way it used to.
Look at your eyes,
They don't sparkle anymore.
Look what you've done,
You ruined it for everyone.
Who told you that you had to lose your innocence?
I,
I'm starting over,
I,
I'm starting over.
Tell me how
I get back to my childhood.
I used to think
It was so naive,
I was so naive...
Look what I've done,
I ruined it for everyone,
I should've held on harder to my innocence.
I,
I'm starting over,
I,
I'm starting over.
It's never too late,
It's never too late,
For starting over.
Reclaim your innocence,
Start over.
Reclaim your innocence,
Reclaim your innocence,
Start over,
Start over.
I,
I'm starting over,
I,
I'm starting over.
It's never too late,
It's never too late,
For starting over.
Look at your face,
Doesn't shine the way it used to.

"The Best Thing"
I... Am bored outta my mind. So I decided to listen to as much music on my list as possible and post a new song. Still doesn't belong to me.
"The Best Thing" by Relient K
The song doesn't belong to me. I'm more likely to own Nemo's Nautilus than this.
I dunno... I like it. It's been described as the anti "Bad Day" song, which, I must say, is prettty accurate. Maybe I'll post "Bad Day" tomorrow so you can see for yourself lol.
Anyways, as per usual, if you like it, comment! If you don't like it, comment gently! If you have a suggestion, comment! If you have a question, comment! If you just wanna say hi, hey, I won't bite! Comment! Please? Lol I have no idea what to do differently unless you guys comment. See how important that is? Your words are what brings me forward, into the future. So tell me what you like, don't like, how you feel, your favorite song, band, book, author, movie, videogame, whatever.
Til Tomorrow!

"Kryptonite"
Hey guys! I'm happy to say that I kept my promise!! Tonight's song is called "Kryptonite" by 3 Doors Down. I'd have posted it earlier, but right when I was done listening to it, another song popped up so I posted the new one instead. Which is slightly frustrating, you have no idea how confusing my filing system for music is. *Sigh* I can never tell if I wrote down the same song twice or what, but it's annoying.
Anywho, here it is! Oh, and just in case anybody has forgotten my usual note in my absence... The song doesn't belong to me. Never has, never will. Oh, and unlike most of the others, this isn't the official music video made by the company... It's a fan vid, but they did a really good job. Since it isn't official, lemme know if it ever gets deleted, I'll find another one.

Quick question for all you comic book fans out there... how come when Clark can't take the time to change in a phone booth, nobody notices him ripping his shirt off and having a giant red "S" on his chest? Hmm...? Same for Spiderman, I know you all saw that scene. What's with the shirt ripping? I know they gotta change into their secret identities and stuff, but both Superman and Spiderman work in newspaper offices, they should know a bit more about paparazzi and that sort of thing. Just sayin'.
And no, your answer can't be that the whole city is focused on something else. Sure, we don't always pay attention to stuff, but at least one person in the crowd must notice that Peter Parker is pulling his clothes off for a Spidey costume underneath. Or that Clark Kent looks remarkably like Superman, minus the glasses.
Tell me truly, is it the whole hiding in plain sight thing? Or do telephone booths just have too many windows nowadays?
Later!

Hey
Guys,
I just wanna apologize. Country Month was uber suckish due to my slow computer. To make up for it, I'll be posting country music throughout the year as well as the usual mix of semi-random stuff. Anyways, I have good news though, my computer has officially been tuned up, got some brand new memory, and is good as new! So now you can yell at me all you want if I don't post lol. ...Did I mention that I'm a born procrastinator...? Workin' on it though.
Anywho! We'll be starting back up with the regular schedule pretty soon, I've got a whole huge list of music to post, and I even read a bunch of awesome books this summer. Some historical fiction, some girly books, The Phantom of the Opera (Yes! I finished that one!!!), and several others. Movies though... Ugh. The usual awesome summer blockbusters haven't come out on DVD yet, so I've seen enough lame ones to last me a long time. And don't even get me started on reruns!
Well, I just wanted to let you know that I'm still alive, my computer is running better than ever, and I hope to get back on schedule asap. Thanks for sticking with me, those comments once in awhile mean a lot.
Talk to you soon! (And I mean it this time!!)

First terrible movie post
I'm sorry. I've wanted to post more, I really have! But my computer's being slow. Really slow. Think snail. Any ideas on how to speed this thing up? It's a little older than two years.
Ya know what? I don't have a movie for you today. The last movie I saw was not worth mentioning. Not worth watching. Seriously, at the end of it, I felt like I just wasted two hours of my life. The Land That Time Forgot. Avoid it!
Granted, by watching a movie, you kinda waste a couple hours of your life, regardless of what it's about... but at least with others, like Iron Man, you talk about it with your friends for awhile and plan on seeing it again soon, just because it's so good you want to spend the couple hours with your friends watching a guy in a fancy metal suit blow up bad guys. Two hours wasted turns into two hours of fun, sharing popcorn, having a good time, exclaiming over Tony Stark's awesome suit, and just chillin. See, that's two hours well spent.
Last night, my two hours were not well spent. The graphics were on the tacky side, the characters needed to try again, and sadly, the best line was (and I'm abbreviating it for little ones) "WTF was that?!" after a guy almost got eaten by a mutant squid thing. The show was a sad waste of a movie budget. I could probably make a better movie with my friends and a camcorder.
Sure, it sounds interesting from the cover, originally a story by Edgar Rice Burroughs, the guy who wrote Tarzan. Tarzan was cool, right? Sorry, but they just reused the classic "horror" story pick-em-off-one-at-a-time situation. Right down to the characters; two girls, three guys, and a captain. Sorry directors, but think of something new! Please! That may have been scary a long time ago when it was new, but it's been reused so much and so often that it just ain't cool.
So yep, don't watch The Land That Time Forgot. Try the new Flight of the Phoenix with Dennis Quaid instead. Same basic pick-em-off sitch, but that one was well written and well acted and all around good. Scary in the right parts, happy in others, and definitely not a show that you'd see on the in-flight movie.

"This One's For The Girls"
Hey boys, I'm sorry but... This one's for the girls.
Again, none of it is mine. It belongs to Martina McBride, and... whoever helped make the vid.

Anyway girls, just want you to know that if there's any song out there to be listening to, it's probably this one. Sure, you have a nice melody in there and whatever, but the lyrics... If you ever need to feel better about anything, just listen to this song and pretend like she's singing it to you. It's a real confidence booster, I'll tell ya that much.
Well, I'm off to go start adding tags to everything, so have a lovely day.

"It's... ALIVE!!!!!"
And I'm glad to say that even though my vacation wasn't exactly what you'd call restful, I had a good time. This week has been pretty eventful, but I'll stick with what I said in my first post; I'm not saying anything about me, my life, my friends, etc., just books, movies, music, and occasionally whatever happens to strike my fancy.
I saw Push the other day, it reminded me vaguely of X-Men, but without Professor Xavier.
It's about a bunch of mutants, some on the scientist (Division) side and some on the just-wants-to-live-life-without-being-killed-by-Division side. They come in multiple varieties, you have your Watchers, Pushers, Shadowers, Bleeders, Sniffs, Stitches, Wipers, Shifters, and Movers. Each has their own power that has something to do with their name (I'll leave you to figure those out) and the most powerful ones are Pushers. Everyone wants this case that was lost, but they all have to rely on their watchers to find it. Some watchers even have to rely on enemy watchers.
Basically this Mover is heading home after losing a bet when some Division Sniffs come up to his door and ask to be let in. They then sniff everything and find that there haven't been any girls in his apartment in awhile, and a specific girl hasn't come yet. Then they leave, bringing a toothbrush with them for evidence.
A minute later, a Watcher knocks on the Mover's door and he lets her in. She gives him a toothbrush and searches his fridge for the chicken. Naturally, having a random stranger looking for leftover chicken after handing you a toothbrush is a bit odd, so he asked her to leave. Then she told him that if he stuck with her there'd be 6 million dollars in it for the both of them and he can pay off his debt. At which point he knew she was a Watcher.
Well? Is there really 6 mil out there for the taking? Is this Watcher the girl the Sniffs were looking for? What the heck is going on? I'll leave you to figure those out.
I know that summary kinda stunk... but I'm tired and I didn't have a whole lot to go by since my memory left me about an hour ago. Just 'cause my skills are slightly impaired at the moment doesn't mean it wasn't a pretty cool movie. So check it out! Lemme know what you think. Any favorite powers? Personally I think the Shifters are pretty cool, right next to Pushers.
Well, it's good to be back!
Write you later!!

Hey, sorry for missing a day or two...
I've just been really tired. And I've got a lot of other stuff to do =/. Now don't get me wrong, I still love writing for you guys, but I'm just not feelin' it lately. I'm taking a brief vacation this weekend, so I'll hopefully be writing you again on... Monday.
Until then,

A True and Faithful Narrative
Well I haven't been my usual cheery self today, and it was noticed... I was asked more than once if I'm depressed and what I'm bummed about, when honestly, I have no idea. Anywho, I spent my morning finishing up A True and Faithful Narrative.
It's about a 16 year old girl living in England in the year 1861 (I think). Her passion is writing and she spends a lot of her time putting together short stories and verses when she isn't reading or minding her father's bookshop (her father doesn't like the fact that she's writing). She's also of the right age for marriage. Which, to be honest, is a bit scary! Getting married at 16?? I know it was the custom then, and marriage even earlier wasn't uncommon, but I find that in that respect, there's no way I could live back then. I'd want to be 10 years older, at least. But that's just me.
Anyways, one day, she's sitting at the counter reading a book and a friend of hers pops by to see if she's got a specific story for him. She refers him to a different shop, and before he leaves he lets her know that he's going on a ship to Italy (I think, I could be wrong), and does she want something from there? And maybe... Is there something special he could look forward to coming back to? She, not being what you'd call a romantic, said he could bring back a tale of him being captured by pirates and enslaved. ...Then she said she was kidding. Dang! Way to let a guy know you're not interested!!
He leaves, and a few months later his father dies. They send word to him, and he hops on the first ship heading for London. ...Unfortunately, that one is taken by pirates and he is enslaved. A ransom is requested and he must wait there until it is met.
Of course, the girl, Meg, is absolutely scared to death that what she said in jest was part of what caused his capture, so she pretty much appoints herself to be the head fundraiser for the ransom. Her father's apprentice, who is usually rude to her, starts to have a change of heart and helps her out. It isn't long before he makes his feelings known to her too.
A story of a love triangle that gives a very interesting look into the past, this story was well told and actually written as though by Meg herself.
I recommend it to girls who have a taste for historical fiction and romance stories.

You really gotta think about the impressions you're making on the little ones, in my experience with kids, they're the most likely to follow an example set by adults. And those examples eventually turn into habits, so pick good ones!
Questions? Comments? Suggestions? Lemme know! Only one way I can find out what you've got to say and that's by writing a comment! =)

Bride Wars
Yesterday I saw Bride Wars, and lemme tell ya, it was insane.
Seriously, a note to LC: If for whatever reason, we have our weddings in the same church on the same day, let alone the same state, please oh please can we just go with the rational solution of a double wedding and not dye hair blue and skin orange? Please? lol
Basically what happens is these two girls go to a wedding at The Plaza in (I'm guessing) New York. They both love it, it was a gorgeous June wedding and from that moment onward, they both fantasize about their own weddings. They play wedding dress up, they keep a box of wedding related knick-knacks and memories, and when they grow up and get proposed to, the insanity truly begins. Both are proposed to within the same week and they go to their favorite wedding planner who then schedules them for appointments in the month of June. Two different dates so they can each be each other's maid of honor.
A few days later they get a call on the phone saying that a mistake has been made and their weddings are scheduled for the same day. That's when the craziness starts.
Now if you wanna know exactly how NOT to treat your friends, and fiances, if you wanna know exactly what NOT to do when prepping for your wedding, and if you wanna make sure you absolutely remember NOT to dye your best friend's hair blue and skin orange, then watch this show. If you're a terrible person and wanna know how to make a complete disaster out of your best friend's wedding, don't watch it. It's got too much usable material for you.
This movie ain't mine. The terrible wedding squishing ideas inside it are not mine. The dresses are not my design, nor are the actors reading my lines. Basically, I'm just the person watching it.
As always, leave a comment if you've got somethin to say!

"The Good Stuff"
Hey guys!
Country Music Month is here! I would've posted yesterday, but family stuff kept me, so alas, you shall have to make due with only today. Anyways, I would ordinarily write about a movie (recently saw Bride Wars, Star Wars I-III, and a few others), but since it's finally August, the month we've all been waiting for (or at least you who enjoy country music lol), I'll humor you and give you the music I promised.
Here goes nothin! Oh, and as per usual, the music and the video don't belong to me. I don't usually play country music, I don't usually sing it, up until recently, I generally did my best to avoid it... But what with a recent huge project going on and it being my family's only music of choice (I'm not kidding. It's either country or classical, and as much as I love classical, it just doesn't have lyrics), I've been exposed to a lot of it, so I'll let my blog reflect what I've been through this past month or so lol.

This is one of my favorite Kenny Chesney songs. It just kinda reminds me that even if you have a fight with someone you love, are you really willing to give up your entire past because of it? Or are you gonna kiss and make up? Basically a sweet song that reminds of that oh so nice second option.
The way I see it, if you gotta listen to country, Kenny Chesney is pretty much the way to go. He's got a great voice. But... As always, I'm up for variety, so you can probably expect some Garth Brookes, Brad Paisley, and Carrie Underwood. I'm trying to steer clear of Miley Cyrus, she gets enough hype already, but we'll see how that one turns out.
In closing... Got a song you want me to listen to? Write me! Got a movie you want me to see? Write me! Got a book you want me to read? Write me! Got a videogame you want me to try out (I'm limited to PS2, PS3, Nintendo DS/Gameboy, and Wii, sorry!)? Write me! Got questions or comments? Write me! Got the latest hot gossip on Brangelina? Write People Magazine, 'cause I'm not interested. Basically, anything but gossip, I'll take a look at it, just write me a comment!

"All At Once"
Picked another random song today, I dunno, I kinda like it. I usually replace "her" with "him" when I sing it lol but yeah. I imagine this sort of thing happens every day, which kinda sucks. It's true, perfection isn't going to come, so maybe the next best thing really is that friend of yours who grew out of cooties and sometimes makes you get the tummy flips (in a good way, not sick) and shows off for you or whatever. Never know until you try I guess.
Just so you know, this link, unlike most of the rest, doesn't bring you to the song, it brings you to The Fray's YouTube page. In the search section, look up "All At Once." You should be able to find it, no problem.

Do I look like The Fray? Nope, 'fraid not. Didn't write it. Didn't sing it. It ain't mine.
By the way, as always, any questions, comments, or suggestions? Tis what the comment box is for! =)

No Reservations
The other day I saw a romance entitled No Reservations.
It's about a woman whose job is her life. Literally. Nothing else truly matters. She doesn't see family very often, she's not dating anyone, the only thing that matters is that table 5's steak is rare enough, or that her special saffron sauce is perfect.
She's the head-chef at a very fancy restaurant.
And her employer is angry with her because she takes everything regarding her food personally, and has been known to react violently, so she's sent to a therapist. ...Who she cooks for while they're on the clock. Seriously, food is her life.
One day, her sister calls and lets her know that she and her daughter are on their way over to visit from a long ways away. They agree to meet up at 9 that night, since the chef is working the dinner shift as always.
During the dinner rush, she gets a phone call. She's busy putting something together, so she asks her assistant to answer with instructions to remind her sister that they planned on meeting at 9, and she can't come earlier. Unfortunately, her sister is not on the other end of the phone.
The chef rushes to the hospital to see that, instead of her sister and her niece being in a room with two beds, there is only one bed. Only one reason to have a bed. Only one survivor. Her niece looks up at her and asks if her mom died. She requested a straight answer, but found it out for herself.
The girl is now her responsibility. She goes home, leaving her niece in the hospital, and we soon learn that her boss said that she had to take a few days off. No choice. So she cooks her niece a lunch of duck (or some other equally unusual thing for a 10 year old to enjoy), and comes to the hospital to find that she's not hungry. Which is understandable, but probably still stung.
She pays a visit to the restaurant to find that she's been temporarily replaced with a man who is her complete opposite. Opera music is playing, he's singing, he's wearing pajama pants and crocs, the entire kitchen is chillaxed, and they soon tense back up when they see her walking in the room.
Needless to say, she's pretty peeved.
Will this new chef exercise his apparent charm enough to get her to warm up to him? Or will the mutual visits to the freezer continue? And how will her niece react to the new guy? Do opposites really attract?
Considering the fact that it's a romance, it's not too hard to figure out how it will all end, but the middle parts... Now that's something else entirely.
Will her niece ever eat the gourmet food she specializes in? Who's going to watch the girl while her aunt is at work? Lunch until dinner is a long amount of time. What's it going to take to make head-chef realize that her new partner is actually worth the hassle?
I'll leave you guys to figure that out if you like.
As with everything else, the movie doesn't belong to me. I wasn't an actress, I wasn't a writer, I wasn't the costume designer, I played no part in the creation of the movie, therefore, don't give me credit.

"How He Loves"
Today has been... wonderful. I woke up bright and early, listened to good music (including several songs from a few of my favorite bands) while working, and this song struck me as beautiful. I hope you guys don't mind that I'm doing another song by David Crowder Band, but I just can't help it! I've held it off as long as I could, but I heard it twice today so far and several times this past week, and... yep. Love it. Hope you guys enjoy! But if not, I'm open to suggestions, so write me something in the comment box!
By the way, this song doesn't belong to me anymore than Scooby Doo belongs to the bad guy. It just doesn't happen.

"How He Loves" by David Crowder Band
He is jealous for me.
Loves like a hurricane, I am a tree,
Bending beneath the weight of His wind and mercy.
When all of a sudden, I am unaware of these afflictions eclipsed by glory,
And realize just how beautiful You are and how great Your affections are for me.
Oh, how He loves us,
Oh, oh, how He loves us,
How He loves us, oh.
And He is jealous for me.
Loves like a hurricane I am a tree,
Bending beneath the weight of His wind and mercy.
When all of a sudden, I am unaware of these afflictions eclipsed by glory,
And realize just how beautiful You are and how great Your affections are for me.
Oh how He loves.
Yeah, He loves us,
Oh, how He loves us,
Oh, how He loves us,
Oh, how He loves...
And we are His portion and He is our prize,
Drawn to redemption by the grace in his eyes.
If his grace is an ocean we're all sinking.
And heaven meets earth like an unforeseen kiss,
And my heart turns violently inside of my chest,
I don't have time to maintain these regrets
When I think about the way
Oh, how He loves us,
Oh, oh, how He loves us,
How He loves us, oh.
How He loves,
Yeah, He loves us,
Oh, how He loves us,
Oh, how He loves us,
Oh, how He loves,
Oh, my Love!
Oh, He loves us,
Yeah, He loves us,
How He loves us,

I love being loved like that. I love being reminded I'm loved like that.
Anywho, this is basically just me saying I'm back from my brief hiatus. Had some issues with my computer... Mostly that it was running so slowly I could barely type anything up for you guys, much less actually get my work done. That's what happens when you've had it for two years and never do any real clean up work on it; getting rid of temporary files and whatnot. Blech.
Well, I'm up and running again, all is well, and I hope you like the music I pick out! If something looks interesting, look it up! Find it on Napster or someplace and check out the free trial. Or just listen to the radio for hours until it pops up! Lol your choice.
Also, remember, this song isn't mine. If you're looking it up, look up "'How He Loves' by David Crowder Band" not by Kj. Please. You're gonna find out pretty quick that I haven't written any of these songs if you type my username in.

"Rule the World"
Hey guys, country month countdown is at one week! Now I know not everybody likes the stuff, but don't worry, we'll come back to the regular schedule in October. Til then though, I saw Stardust a little bit ago, and this song was in the ending credits (great movie, btw). This song doesn't belong to me either. Very much not mine.
"Rule the World" by Take That
You light
The skies
Up above me,
A star
So bright
You blind me.
Yeah
Don't close
Your eyes,
Don't fade away,
Don't fade away,
Oh
Yeah, you and me we can ride on a star.
If you stay with me girl,
We can rule the world...
Yeah, you and me we can light up the sky.
If you stay by my side,
We can rule the world..
If walls
Break down,
I will comfort
You.
If an-
-gels cry,
Oh, I'll be there
For you.
You've saved
My soul,
Don't leave me now,
Don't leave me now,
Oh
Yeah, you and me we can ride on a star.
If you stay with me girl,
We can rule the world...
Yeah, you and me we can light up the sky.
If you stay by my side,
We can rule the world...
All the stars are coming out tonight,
They're lighting up the sky tonight,
For you,
For you.

Now I personally love this song, I donno... It's just got this beauty to it that I can't resist. That happens sometimes. If I'm listening to or watching or reading something beautiful, or am just really happy, I get this shiver up my spine and I just love it.
But... it sounds kinda weird when I sing it, due to the fact that it is clearly a love song to a girl, and I *am* a girl. I'd rather sing a love song to a boy lol, so... I decided to experiment with maybe turning it into a duet (it wasn't one when I started) so the stuff in blue lettering is for a guy to sing, the stuff in red is for a girl, and purple is both.
I may have to snag a guy from somewhere and have him sing it with me lol but until then, it's all just experimental. Song still doesn't belong to me, no matter how beautiful I may find it.
Anyways, if you happen to attempt my experiment before I get the chance to, let me know how it turned out, or if any of the cues need to be switched around and stuff. And don't worry, hopefully I'll find myself a guy who doesn't mind singing pretty soon and I can try it out for myself, I'll tell you how it turns out, but until then, feel free to try it out.
Comments? Suggestions? Opinions? Tis what the comment box is for!

How It Should Have Ended
Hey guys, I was browsing my favorites panel yet again, and I came across HISHE. Haven't gone to that page in awhile, so I went and checked it out to see if they had updated.
How It Should Have Ended is a website that is exactly what the title states, it's suggesting different ways for movies to end. Most of them are funny, some are dorky, and there are a ton of awesome quotes. They're all YouTube clips, by the way, but the links are in the site.
http://www.howitshouldhaveended.com/
I'm pretty sure LC said her favorite was the Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory one, either that, or Beowulf, and mine's the Superman one, but just about all of them are pretty awesome. You may have to check out their YouTube page to see them all, they changed a few things around and I haven't gotten a chance to really explore the HISHE page again.
HISHE doesn't belong to me, though I did buy one of their T-shirts XD
Gotta go!

Random Song!
I have no idea what song to post right now, so um... how bout a random one? I'm listening to the radio right now, so I'll write out the next song that pops up for you, kay?
Need I say it? The song, whatever it may turn out to be, does not belong to me. I didn't sing it, I didn't write it, I didn't play it, and I didn't pick it for the radio lol. I did, however, find it on YouTube for your enjoyment.

Triple M Part 2
Hey, I was wondering a little earlier what movie I've seen recently when all I've really done in the past few weeks even remotely worth mentioning is reading. I'm at least 3/4 of the way through my first pile of books and I went and borrowed another one about half that size. If I take it a bit slower, it oughtta tide me over until September when I start reading homework books, but I probably won't take it slower.
But!
I promised you guys I'd say what I gotta say about the other 2/3 of Triple M (...Need the definition? Look back to my post on DareDevil and Elektra.), so here goes nothing!
X-Men (1) has a lot to do with Logan/Wolverine. He's got issues with his brain and when the X-Men come and save him and Rogue and bring them back to Professor X's school for gifted (mutant) children, he eventually asks Xavier what his past was like. Xavier can't help him much, but he can tell him some basics about what his very recent past was like. Throughout the story, the audience can see through memory snatches by Xavier and Jean, as well as dreams, a vague image of Logan's past... and it was not, by any stretch of the word, pretty.
Meanwhile, Magneto has built a machine designed to mutate everyone within the rays it puts out in hopes of turning regular people into mutants. He tries it out on a senator whom Mystique kidnapped to see that it works, but it takes a lot of energy out of Magneto to work it. The senator now has the structure of a jellyfish, and easily slid through his cell door down to the ocean. He survived the fall and made his way to Professor Xavier's school to see if they could help him. They can't. Magneto, oblivious to the senator's death, kidnaps Rogue to use her power of power borrowing to work his machine in order to mutate a lot more people. Important people. People the world can't afford to have dead.
*****SPOILER WARNING FOR X-MEN*****
Magneto is captured and put in a special prison cell with no metal within a certain radius (that is his power after all, magnetic fields that can move any kind of metal), and Xavier visits once in awhile to play chess. They are friends after all, dontcha know?
X-Men 2: X-Men United is the direct sequel to X-Men.
Magneto is still in his plastic prison and getting really tired of it. He is now receiving shots to make him obey the man questioning him about Xavier's school. Mystique finds out where he is and um... gives the guard that feeds him a shot of iron. Just enough to be of use while not being noticed by the metal detector.
In the meantime, the man who found out where Xavier's school is decided to pay them a visit. He mostly wants to get into Cerebrum, in order to copy the design and work his plan, but he also kidnaps any mutant children who don't vanish into thin air, walk through walls, or just use the secret tunnels to get out. Wolverine is, of course, awake, alive, and very angry. He takes down guard after guard until he gets to that guy (whose name escapes me). He is recognized, but he doesn't remember the man, so he tries to listen to him for a minute to see if any of his past will be unlocked. Unfortunately, the memories don't revive themselves in time and Bobby/Iceman puts up a wall of ice between Wolverine and the man so Wolverine can help him, Rogue, and the rest of the kids escape.
The man made it to Cerebrum.
*****SPOILER WARNING FOR X-MEN 2: X-MEN UNITED*****
X3: The Last Stand is yet another direct sequel. It takes place... I think a year after Jean died, and Scott/Cyclops is still very depressed and not himself. Wolverine isn't exactly happy either, but he's moved on a little. One day, Scott goes for a ride on his motorcycle to the lake where Jean died. He hears her whispering and can't take it anymore. He pulls his sunglasses off and blasts the lake. Shortly thereafter, Jean comes up, but she isn't herself. She asks him to take his shades off again, she wants to see his eyes. He reminds her of his fear that he'll hurt her, as he can't control the blast. She assures him that she can handle it, it'll be fine. So he takes his glasses off, and she quickly tunes that power he was so scared of hurting her with down, down, down, until you can see his firey red eyes, and then... blue ones. Normal blue eyes. He doesn't come back to the school.
Later on, Wolverine and Storm head for the lake, (I don't remember, but I'm guessing) to find Scott and bring him back before he jumps off any bridges or anything. They arrive to a place that is covered in a thick fog. They go off in different directions and Wolverine notices a few things out of place before asking Storm to clear things up a bit. So she does, and they see a lot of stones, leaves, and other things you'd find near a lake floating up in the air. ...Another thing that is found is Scott's sunglasses. And Jean. A Jean who seems to be incredibly interested in Wolverine. Not the Jean he knew and chased after.
They bring her back to the school where they soon learn that her subconscious is waking up and taking over the Jean that they once knew. Xavier describes this other half of her personality as the Phoenix, which is actually pretty accurate considering the mythology behind the name. The Phoenix is a person who can't control emotion. She lives on anger, hatred, love, lust, and all other extreme emotions. Also, her ability to move stuff with her mind is heightened. No limits, everything can be moved with ease. So basically... You really don't wanna make her mad.
She leaves the school and is later met by Xavier and Magneto. In a moment of intense rage, she chooses to follow Magneto.
A cure for being a mutant has been found in a mutant. Mutations disappear when given a shot of certain chemicals found in the boy (I'm guessing here again, the needles didn't look like they were filled with his blood) or temporarily by going into the same room with him, so Magneto wants to get rid of the boy. There may even be some revenge in it for him, considering what happens to Mystique.
X-Men Origins: Wolverine
The title kinda says it all, it tells the background story behind Wolverine. His childhood, how he grew up, his brother, how they stuck together for several years (over a century), why that family relationship fell apart, how he got his adamantium claws and what he had in the first place, that sort of thing. His wife, his original life, his original name, everything. Everything that he forgot is told in that movie, from when he was a small boy up until the day he lost his memory. And with it, he forgot absolutely everything. His love, his brother, the experiments on him, everything.
***SPOILER WARNING FOR X-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE***
If that movie wasn't already a prequel with three movies following it, the terrible cliffhanger it left would probably leave a lot of people throwing popcorn at the screen. As is, it was just really sad. To forget everything is bad enough. Terrible, but you can live with it. To be forgotten though... by your husband whom you truly loved, on your deathbed, no less, would be absolutely horrible. I hate the idea of being forgotten by someone so important. I can expect to be forgotten by random people I see on the street, or the clerk at a grocery store, but by a husband? ...That was probably the saddest part for me. The fact that he lost everything, and when asked, said he didn't recognize the woman lying on the floor mostly dead, she wasn't important to him. I know he has a perfectly good reason, but the idea of it still hurts.
It's getting late, so I guess I have to leave you on that rather depressing note.
Later!

Later!

"Dragostea Din Tei"
August is coming up fast, and I've got a lot of country songs for you guys so far! There are happy ones, sad ones, revengeful ones, funny ones, and a bunch of others. I'm trying to get up to fifteen so I can post one every other day, but we'll see how it turns out.
As for now, however... Today's music post won't have lyrics for two reasons. Number one, I don't understand a single word they're saying, and number two, my computer is going really really slowly right now so I can't listen to it anyways.
(this is the official video)
(this is the misheard lyrics one)
The second clip is insanely random and for weeks afterwords, LC and I were quoting parts.
Example: "Dude, you gotta be kidding me." "Ragu sledding YAY!" "..."
Basically what they did is took a Romanian boyband style love song and wrote out what it sounds like instead of what it means. ...How do I know it's a love song? Google.
It's official name is "Dragostea Din Tei" and it's by O-Zone, which means O-Zone owns it! Not me, tis theirs.

Part 1 of triple M
Hey guys! Remember triple M?
*Shugs* I don't blame ya if you don't, I'm kinda off schedule about it. Stands for Marvel Movie Mania, which I went through a couple weeks ago. I saw DareDevil, Elektra, and X-Men 1-3. Also I was gonna add in X-Men Origins: Wolverine towards the end. As is, I'm gonna clump them into two categories; that which is X-Men, and that which is not X-Men.
Which brings me to DareDevil and Elektra.
DareDevil is a story about this kid named Matt Murdock who's living a sorta normal life; things aren't what you'd call good, but it could be worse in his not-so-good neighboorhood of Hell's Kitchen. Unfortunately life does get worse. One day he gets his report card and goes running over to the construction site where his dad works, only to find that he got fired awhile back. So he starts going again, presumably to return home, when he finds his dad is engaged in some... less than legal activities.
He drops his report card in shock and runs back to the construction site, his dad calling him the entire time. While running through the construction site, a barrel of biochemicals (or toxic waste, I can never keep those two straight. Either way, it's not good for you.) got poked and it went straight into his eyes.
Next scene we see him in the hospital where he's waking up from a coma and freaking out. Which is understandable, I mean, you'd probably be freaking too if earlier that day you could see and now you can't see anything but you can hear EVERYTHING. He forgives his dad and they both start learning how to better themselves.
More bad things happen... And probably because of them, Matt grew up from having a crappy childhood to being a lawyer for the innocent people of Hell's Kitchen by day and DareDevil, pursuer of justice, by night.
I'll leave you there... I don't think I gave too much away, I only told you guys the intro, after all, but still. Some people don't like being given even that much.
Oh, by the way, he meets this girl named Elektra Natchios, daughter of one of the wealthiest men around. She's got a secret life of her own...
Which brings us to Elektra.
*****SPOILER WARNING FOR THE END OF DAREDEVIL*****
Elektra is sort of a sequel DareDevil, telling about what happens after Elektra dies, but DareDevil himself isn't in this movie.
Elektra is resurrected by a man named Stick and she is trained in a special form of martial arts. Later on she gets kicked out and becomes an assassin. And a pretty good one in fact. The movie starts with her killing someone and making a sizable ransom for it. Her next job is on an island.
She moves into a house on the island and starts setting her things up. Right about here is when I figured she's probably OCD due to her impeccable neatness and the fact that there is absolutely nothing out of place. ...Not even her vegetables.
One day she hears that someone is in her house, and just as they're about to run out the front door she throws a knife, pinning the person's sleeve to the door. The girl who got caught is Abby, who is then requested to give back that which she stole. With no real way to explain why she was there, she gives Elektra her mother's necklace back.
A couple days later, Abby invites Elektra to her father's house for Christmas dinner. She goes, and shortly afterwards (a couple days, max), she gets the information on the people she's supposed to get rid of... Abby and her father. She'll be paid double for this job (due to two victims), so she grabs a bow and arrow and heads to the perfect place to make the shot.
So... Does she kill Abby and her father? The only people who were truly friendly to her after moving in? ...Minus the attempted theft, that is. Or does she decide she doesn't need this money and move on? I know this isn't the best cliffhanger I could've come up with for this movie, but I really need to not tell you too much.
Comments? Questions? Suggestions? Random thoughts? Tis what the comment box is for!! =)
Please, someone tell me if I'm giving too much away! I don't want to say much more than a synopsis of the first few minutes, so please tell me if I'm doing that or writing a novel based on a movie based on a comic book here.
Thanks!!
Til tomorrow,

Country Today... Or Not. How 'Bout "Dark Blue" Instead?
And the country music continues...
Twas the only thing on the radio today. I think I might end up having an entire week dedicated to country music. Maybe a month. Mom does love the stuff. I'm gonna have to start making a list of those songs, so I'll start August as Country Music Month. Which leaves me with today. What shall I write out for you? Well I did hear an interesting song by Jack's Mannequin the other day... It isn't country, but it isn't August yet, so oh well. "Dark Blue" belongs to me about as much as Mona Lisa. *hint* Mona Lisa is in the Louvre, not my room. Oh, and this is one posted by a fan, so if it ever disappears, let me know and I'll try and find another.

Again, the Mona Lisa isn't mine, "Dark Blue" isn't mine. I play music, but I didn't play that. I didn't write it, I'm not in a band (though one of my friends was considering it once lol), it's just not mine.
Anyway, let me know what you think. I know the lyrics are kinda... different, but it's got a great melody. ...And now it's firmly stuck in my head.
Comments? Suggestions? Ratings? Tis what the comment box is for! Reading the occasional comment really makes my day, so please lemme know what you think!

Sketches and Star Trek. ...Sorta.
Hmm... What to post, what to post...
I'm seriously inspiration-less... this hasn't happened in awhile. Let's see...
I've decided that I'm best at drawing animals and people due to my recent ability to sketch decent pictures of my cat Dixie and Alton Brown, while not doing so good at sketches of random objects, i.e., a telephone. ...If you don't know who Alton is by the way, watch Good Eats on The Food Network. Excellent TV host. Why'd I sketch *him* of all people, you ask? Well my fellow TV-watcher left the room with the show on pause and he had an interesting face on freeze-frame that I had to capture. Yeah, she was kinda peeved that she had to wait 20 minutes or so for the show to start back up since I wasn't yet finished... but it turned out pretty good and she got over it XD.
...I really need to draw people I actually know.
On another note, I feel I oughtta let you guys know that my review for Star Trek is probably way off considering I'm not a Trekkie by any stretch of the title. My grandma is, she loves sci-fi. I do too, I just don't know much about Star Trek. So I'm sorry, but my review is probably worthless due to my complete and utter lack of history with the series.
...Except when I was about 6 and watched it with grandma while she was crocheting...
But I can tell you that that movie was pretty darn cool. I'm guessing it's a good intro to the series (guessing being the operative word here). I learned a lot of stuff about it, like who Spock and Kirk are, where "Live long and prosper" came from, and where I had heard the phrase "Beam me up, Scottie!" several years ago. Also, I think I got a whole new appreciation for Marvin from Daddy Day Care.
Overall, twas a good movie that I'm gonna have to watch with my grandma when it comes out on DVD. I'll see what her opinion is and perhaps write a more informed and better review for you guys. As is, this one kinda stinks. I'd move on to something from Marvel... but I'm kinda outta time.

Back!
Sorry, my time away was longer than I expected... Mostly because I bought a new sketchbook and have been attempting artwork for the past couple nights rather than blog. I'm gonna sketch again this evening, but I figured you should know that I'm still alive. As is LC. We survived the pillow-fight (twas not nearly as bad as last year's), and I'm pretty sure she made it home safe. Either that, or someone who sounds just like her hijacked her accounts. ...Kinda doubt it though.
Anywho! Let's see... Any good books get read? Um... Nope. Any good movies seen? ...Besides the ones on the previous list, nope. Any good artwork? Sortakindamaybe... but I'm not too comfortable with sharing that stuff yet. I may need a nudge in that general direction (lol I'll ask a couple friends of mine for one), but for the time being, I haven't created anything particularly worthy of the title of masterpiece. What about music? Ah-Ha!! Music I can do. I never run out of music to post! Here goes nothin!

I love that song. Usually country isn't really my thing, but some country songs -just based on their lyrics- make it on my song list. Anyways, need I say it? This song doesn't belong to me. Nor will it ever. Ask me in two years and my answer will still be the same. NOT MINE.
In other news, I recently borrowed The Phantom of the Opera from the library due to a sleepover-inspired karaeoke type thing that LC and I were doing... Well I donno if it's technically karaeoke considering there was no music in the background and my attempt at Gerard Butler's voice is a little... askew. But hey! She wanted to tape it and quite frankly, I can sorta pull off looking like a dude, and since I'd be wearing a mask I wouldn't have to worry about my face giving me away. Long story short, a near tragedy happened right as we were getting into costume, and we didn't tape it. Sorry to all of you who wanted to hear our wonderful attempts at opera. Maybe next time.
Where was I going with this... Oh, right! (Sorry, I'm a little scatterbrained right now. A mix of sugar and past 10 pm isn't good for me.) I'm gonna be putting together a triple post. Once I get done reading it (haven't yet started it, been trying to finish up my booklist from last time), I'll post what I thought about it, my opinions on the movie, and the song that LC and I were working on. ...Well technically not an audio clip, but lyrics as per usual.
I need to sleep now. Bye!

A Dose of Random
Hey guys!
Just so's you knows, LC and I (my bff, in case you aren't familiar with my other blog) are in the same room for the first time for a full year! ...She doesn't visit often lol. But yep, posts are probably gonna be pretty slow (if they come at all) for the next couple days due to me chillaxing with her. I'll have to catch up on the Marvel Movie Madness (triple M from here on out, I'm too lazy to write that out every time) sometime next week, but in the meantime... Enjoy this song. Tis LC's request... Um... Yeah. Still doesn't belong to me (or her) and... you get the picture.

Ernie and his rubber ducky
"Well here I am in my tubby again, and my tubby is all filled with water and nice fluffy suds, and I've got my soap and washcloth to wash myself, and I've got my knifty scrub brush to help me scrub my back, and I've got a big fluffy towel to dry myself when I'm done. But there's one other thing that makes tubby time the very best time of the whole day. And do you know what that is? It's a very special friend of mine, my very favorite little pal.
Oh, rubber ducky, you're the one,
You make bathtime lots of fun,
Rubber ducky I'm awfully fond of you,
bo bo bode oh
Rubber ducky, joy of joys,
When I squeeze you, you make noise,
Rubber ducky you're my very best friend it's true.
Oh, every day when I
Make my way to the tubby,
I find a little fella
Who's cute and yella
And chubby...
Rubba dub dubby
Rubber ducky
You're so fine,
And I'm lucky
That you're mine,
Rubber ducky I'm awfully fond of you.
"Hey rubber ducky, would you like me to scrub your back with my knifty little scrub brush? You would? Ok, how's this? Hey you want me to scrub behind your ears? Oh, I see, you don't have any ears, do you? Oh, how bout your tummy, scrub his little ducky tummy! ~Oooh! He's ticklish!
Every day when I
Make my way to the tubby,
I find a little fella
Who's cute and yella
And chubby...
Rubba dub dubby
Rubber ducky, you're so fine,
And I'm lucky that you're mine.
Rubber ducky I'm awfully fond of
Rubber ducky im awfully fond...
Of you.

Rubber ducky you're my very best friend it's true.
Oh, every day when I
Make my way to the tubby,
I find a little fella
Who's cute and yella
And chubby...
Rubba dub dubby
Rubber ducky
You're so fine,
And I'm lucky
That you're mine,
Rubber ducky I'm awfully fond of you.
"Hey rubber ducky, would you like me to scrub your back with my knifty little scrub brush? You would? Ok, how's this? Hey you want me to scrub behind your ears? Oh, I see, you don't have any ears, do you? Oh, how bout your tummy, scrub his little ducky tummy! ~Oooh! He's ticklish!
Every day when I
Make my way to the tubby,
I find a little fella
Who's cute and yella
And chubby...
Rubba dub dubby
Rubber ducky, you're so fine,
And I'm lucky that you're mine.
Rubber ducky I'm awfully fond of
Rubber ducky im awfully fond...
Of you.
Ok, let it be known that I did NOT take a bath during this post, nor did I play with a ducky. Sadly my last one got eaten. ...Yes, rubber does occasionally get eaten here, don't ask who does it or why, 'cause all I know is it disappears then reappears and is all shredded. Poor ducky. Anywho! That's gonna havta do for a couple days.
...LC is practically begging to get tackled with a pillow, so later!
